Day before surgery

I may not blog for a few days so here is my last post before surgery.

I started today bright and early so that I could get everything done. Laundry, cleaning, paying bills, organizing, grocery shopping, and most important spending time with my family.

We were invited to go to Grandma's house to ride horses. I was a bad mom and forgot a jacket for Paige. We found a large shirt and decided that was going to work.

Paige wasn't thrilled with her helmet-I ended up not making her wear it. Thankfully I was on a 28 year old horse who doesn't get excited very easy. I hang on tight!

After riding horses we went grocery shopping, came back and ate lunch at my mom's and then went home so Paige could sleep. I did some office work and then Lily and I made brownies.

After that we went and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

I took a selfie so I could have one last picture of my neck prior to surgery.

It's been a great day. I need to end this post with thank yous.

Last week Curtis came home with this envelope with money in it from his surgical department at work. I was so touched by the kindness of people who cared enough about my husband to try to help us. I seriously started crying. We have a financial burden ahead of us and it made us feel a little better having some help.

Last Friday Sierra was in town for her niece's graduation and she brought me 2 dozen donuts (minus 1 or 2 for her drive down!) She knows what I like. She watched my girls while I went to my ultrasound appt. She is also coming for this weekend to stay overnight with my girls so they can be home. I owe her big time.

Today I received a package in the mail from my friend Amanda who lives in Meridian. I haven't even been able to see her since she moved and yet she sent me a sunshine package that made my day. She was trying to be anonymous but she had to put her name on the outside and I am so glad so I could say thank you!

When I got home from my parents today the UPS man pulled up with a package. I couldn't remember ordering anything from Amazon but then saw it was a gift card from my best friend Kara Jo who is in Washington. She wanted me to be able to buy a book or something for myself. Kara, I love you. Thank you. YOU are my sunshine :)

Brad and Alicia came last weekend and brought me a Himalayan Salt Light (lamp?) It has a story behind why they gave it to us. :) I was excited.

The Friday after I found out about my cancer Tyler Layne from Northwestern Mutual sent me cookies from the Cookie Basket. That was so nice of him.

Also, the Friday after I found out, my friends Racheal and Jodi came over with a basket of goodies. They stayed and talked to me which is what I really needed at the time. Thank you both. I love you girls and will probably be calling you when I need some help. Thank you!
These kids are only 3-4 months apart-Jodi has the twins on the right.

I don't have a picture of the gift card but thank you to Patti (Curtis' boss) who gave us a gift card to Pizza Hut to use when we run out of meals.

To everyone who has text, sent me messages, emailed, facebooked, instagrammed, and reached out in some way, THANK YOU. Thank you to my parents and to Curtis' parents. Thank you Grandma Gala for the book.
Thank you Jake and Katie for the BBQ and for getting me some books. The caramel apples were delicious. Thank you to my beautiful friend Mandy who came from Boise and spent the day with me. It was 3 days after I found out and she was amazing to talk to.
Thank you everyone at Sage Creek Dental, my work family, for the amazing support, prayers, and help filling in the schedule while I am gone.
I feel like there are probably people and things I am missing but I just want to say thank you everyone for the support and prayers.
Every little bit has helped lift our spirits and helped rally us to fight. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We were suppose to be at the hospital at 11 but they have asked us to be there at 8:50am. I have no idea what time my actually surgery will be now. Regardless, no food after midnight. Either Curtis or I will update when we can. We would take any prayers anyone is offering our way!
